Class 1 Personnel are working with a local client to recruit a HGV2 Dustcart Driver for their site based in Brentwood, Essex. You will be delivering customers' products to the required premises ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi-drop delivery route. The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers' premises, treating their freight as if it were their own.

Main job description for the HGV2 Dustcart Driver:

  • Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements at all times.
  • Participate in waste collections, manoeuvre the vehicle and take responsibility for collection route ensuring completion and report any issues that may occur to the line manager.
  • All daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork complete.
  • Always observe procedures and policies.
  • Manage your routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved.
  • Ensure the correct equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment) is in good order and always used.
  • Deal with any customer issues in a polite and effective manner.

  • Reliability and good time keeping skills.
  • Previous experience working on Dustcarts is desirable.

Working 37hrs a week Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30, finishing at 15:00 hrs on Friday. Pay rates from £17.18. This role is being offered on an ongoing basis. Plenty of overtime available: Saturday at time and a half and bank holidays at double time.
