We are recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 infrastructure contractor delivering a high-profile civil engineering project across the North West. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Pipe Bending Foreman to play a pivotal role in one of the UK’s most impactful pipeline programmes. This is your chance to contribute to a nationally significant pipeline project that supports the UK’s energy transition. You’ll be working as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team focused on innovation, safety and sustainable infrastructure. You will oversee welding operations at the front end of the pipeline construction process, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and technical compliance across all pre-assembly and fit-up phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pipe bending crews, ensuring safe and efficient operations
- Review technical drawings, bending schedules, and specifications
- Plan and organise daily work activities, equipment, and resources
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Monitor quality control throughout all pipe bending operations
- Coordinate with site management, welding, and installation teams
- Contribute to method statements, risk assessments, and toolbox talks
To be considered you must have
- Recognised qualifications in pipefitting, pipe bending, or mechanical engineering
- Proven supervisory experience in large-scale industrial pipeline projects
- Strong knowledge of onshore pipeline pipe bending processes and equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant health & safety qualifications (CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport)
