A leading UK-based precision engineering company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to champion quality across both in-house manufacturing and supplier components. You’ll play a vital role in supporting APQP and PPAP processes, resolving production issues, and ensuring industry-leading standards are met through robust documentation and quality tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Verify product requirements, and thus provide a satisfactory level of measurement and process control support.
- Supplier incoming inspection and results records.
- Non-conforming parts analysis.
- Quality system documentation and records.
- Product inspection using manual standard gauging as well as operating CNC CMM using PCDMIS software.
- Completion of inspection reports to marked drawings.
- Perform Equipment TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance).
Working Hours:
- Double days: Morning Shift 05:50 – 14:00 (Mo - Th), 05:50 – 12:40 (Fr)
- Afternoon shift 13:50 – 22:15 (Mo - Th), 12:30 – 18:20 (Fr)
Key Requirements:
- Experience in metrology, GD&T (reading technical drawings and interpreting geometric symbols/tolerances) within a precision engineering environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manual inspection using conventional measurement equipment (height gauge, shadowgraph, vernier caliper, micrometers etc) and at least 2 years in CNC CMM operating. Basic programming knowledge using PCDMIS software.
- Using surface finish test equipment.
- Good level computer literate, MS Office daily.
- High level of discipline and organisation.
