An experienced Assistant Site Manager is required for a busy new build housing site in Solihull. This is a contract position with a reputable housebuilder, offering the opportunity to work on a high-quality residential development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the build phase through to pre-plaster, supporting the Site Manager and ensuring homes are delivered to a high standard with a focus on customer care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in day-to-day management of site activities on a new build housing development
- Focus on build stages from superstructure through to pre-plaster inspections
- Oversee subcontractors and trades to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
- Coordinate with the Site Manager to manage programme, materials, and workforce
- Conduct regular snagging and quality control checks
- Ensure health and safety compliance is maintained across site
- Deliver excellent customer service and support aftercare processes
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on volume housebuilding projects
- Strong knowledge of the build process, especially from foundations to pre-plaster
- Ability to identify and resolve site issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and site presentation
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at Work
