Are you an experienced purchase ledger with good Sage experience, looking for a new and varied office-based accounts role in the Bedford area? This role is based in a village within 15 minutes of Bedford - you will need your own vehicle for this role.
This role could be working either full time or 28-30 hours per week over 3 days or ideally 4 days per week. Full time - 9:00am - 5:00pm. Part Time - 9:00am - 3:30pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm 4 days per week, 3 days per week may be considered for 28 hours, for the perfect person!
This hands-on and incredibly varied accounts role will be supporting the finance manager in the day-to-day processing of purchases and payments, working within a small accounts team.
The Role:
- Managing all aspects of purchase ledger
- Raising purchase orders via Sage 50
- Processing Invoices, credit card receipts
- Scanning Receipts and filling documents
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining the aged creditors and dealing with queries
- Creating and processing weekly & monthly payment runs for the finance manager
- Supporting the Finance manager with Month End and Year End routines
- Credit Control
- General administration to include booking accommodation and managing the order supply chain/purchasing
The Person:
- Proven accounts experience in a similar accounts role
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to react to meet demands and deadlines
- Computer literacy, especially familiarity with Excel spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software such as Sage 50, Sage One or other similar accounts software
- Experience of CIS returns within the construction industry is advantageous
- Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable and Self-Motivated
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar hands-on accounts role that has excellent communication skills.
