The Job Mission: This role supports the Steelworks & Anchorage team on one of the UK's largest nuclear power projects. You will ensure quality anchorage design and analysis, from assumptions to calculations and risk evaluation. Your future team is central to civil integrity across the nuclear island.

  • Analyse and verify the consistency of technical input data
  • Produce assumption notes, technical specifications, and calculation reports
  • Coordinate the work of CAD Designers with the Design Office Manager
  • Design structural fastenings into reinforced and pre-stressed concrete
  • Perform technical verification of civil documentation
  • Maintain and update the Design Risk Register
  • Identify and propose technical solutions to engineering constraints
  • Collaborate across teams to support safe and compliant design development

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Civil/Structural Engineering degree with anchorage design knowledge
  • Experience designing fastenings in reinforced concrete
  • Understanding of RCC and Eurocode standards
  • Working knowledge of ANSYS software
  • Experience managing design changes and layout constraints
  • Awareness of UK Health & Safety regulations

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with plant layout engineering principles
  • Understanding of Design Risk Register management
  • Knowledge of pre-stressed concrete structures
