Our client is a specialist contractor in the facade and building envelope sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimating Manager.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, monitoring budgets, and identifying cost-related risks and opportunities across facade projects, while collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

What's in it for you?

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30.
  • A mix of office-based work, hybrid working (2 to 3 days per week), and site visits as required.
  • Up to £85,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for facade projects.
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to gather all necessary information for informed estimating.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to stay up to date with current material and labour pricing trends.
  • Track and monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure alignment with budgetary targets.
  • Identify cost-related risks and opportunities, offering practical recommendations to support effective financial decision-making.
  • Keep meticulous records of all estimates, revisions, and cost changes throughout each phase of the project.
  • Support the preparation of bids and proposals, contributing to the acquisition of new projects.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience within the facade industry is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of cost control methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while performing under pressure.
  • Proficient in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A background in construction or engineering is beneficial, though not essential.
  • Experience using Bluebeam is preferred.
