We’re working with a rapidly growing building services business that delivers top-tier M&E solutions across multiple commercial and industrial sectors. They’re on the lookout for a Water Treatment Engineer to join their team. Based out of their head office in Mid Kent, you will be required to travel to sites throughout London and the South East.
THE ROLE
As Water Treatment Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance and safety across client sites, delivering both routine water hygiene services and specialist Legionella risk assessments. The role involves site work, providing high standards of service in water treatment, monitoring and remedials.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments (LRA) to ACoP L8 and HSG274 standards
- Conducting water sampling, temperature monitoring, closed system analysis and chlorination
- Performing remedial works including TMV servicing, tank inspections, and minor plumbing tasks
- Completing and maintaining service records, logbooks, and compliance reports
- Advising clients on performance, compliance, and water system improvements
- Supporting the wider team with site visits, documentation and technical advice
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- City & Guilds qualification in Water Treatment or related subject
- Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g. C&G accredited)
- 2+ years of water hygiene and treatment experience
- Strong understanding of ACOP L8, HSG274, BS 8558
- Experience working across different environments (schools, hospitals, commercial buildings)
- UK driving licence
