Trainee Field Engineer

Location: Various UK sites (field-based) Contract: Temp to Perm Hours: 50+ hours/week (early starts from 06:00, early finish Fridays) Pay: From £12.50 per hour + all expenses covered for nights away + training Start Date: Immediately Pertemps are recruiting for a Trainee Field Engineer, this role does not require previous experience, however the successful candidate will be reliable, eager and willing to learn. A full clean driving licence is required for this role. Must be able to commute to site in Kidderminster early morning to collect the van and meet the team. The Duties of a Trainee Field Engineer: Working on-site with experienced engineers across the UK Supporting with mechanical and electrical tasks Handling tools, machinery, and equipment Some nights away from home (accommodation & expenses paid) Physically active role – must be comfortable with manual work Driving to and from job sites in a company-provided Transit van The Requirements of a Trainee Field Engineer: A clean UK driving licence Must have own vehicle so you can get to site Must be comfortable driving the company van whilst out on the road Willingness to work early starts and long hours (50+ hours/week) Physically fit and happy working outdoors/in industrial environments A strong interest in learning Mechanical/Electrical engineering Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Must be comfortable with occasional overnight stays Benefits: Full training provided Temp to perm opportunity Use of a company van for travel Paid nights away + all accommodation covered Early Friday finish Friendly, supportive team environment If you are interested in this role and would like more information, please click ‘APPLY’ and follow the instructions
