Freightserve are looking to recruit an Airline Cargo Account Manager for a Heathrow based Airline GSA. The GSA is based in the Heathrow area.

Role Overview: To provide best in class customer experience to our freight forwarder customers, in order to maximise the company's margin and increase revenue for allocated Airlines. Build & maintain strong, long lasting customer relationships whilst negotiating contract rates on regular lanes & closing agreements to the benefit of partner airlines. Ensuring regular visits to customers that have opportunity, whilst working towards clearly defined sales targets set. Operating as a lead point of contact for matters specific to your customers/airlines. Required to prepare reports on sales progress and account activity.

Job Description:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts within the freight forwarder network, in order to close sales.
  • Visiting key contacts with opportunity regularly in line with the call plans/KPIs for airlines represented to improve market shares & margins.
  • Building relationships with the airlines personnel.
  • Agrees contractual rates with our UK customers, in order to improve market shares.
  • Works closely with the Sales Planning Manager to maximise margins and drive yield improvements.
  • Reviews contractual rates twice a year removing unused and using opportunity to drive yields where markets are strong.
  • Responsible for creating contractual pricing contracts.
  • Works on customer tenders specific to Airlines represented.
  • Analyses customer/market intelligence provided by the Sales Planning Manager to understand what business we are targeting and build a full understanding of what is required to win new business.
  • Negotiate PBs with customers, considering the PB database and remaining capacity along with revenue projections.
  • Keeps the PB database up to date with current PB allocations, liaising with Reservations regarding any amendments.
  • Analyses PB data to negotiate removals/reductions in instances where PBs are not fully utilised.
  • Ensures weekly sales reporting is completed by cop each Monday for the following week.
  • Keeps call plans updated with information specific to each customer & their business.
  • Ensures we provide accurate and timely reports to our airlines depending on the individual requirements.
  • Cover reservations and internal Sales emails during peak times or when team members are off.
