Civil Technician – Roads & Civil Infrastructure\\n\\nEdinburgh\\n\\nFirst People Solutions is working with a well-established and highly respected consulting engineer that is seeking a Civil Technician to join their team in Edinburgh.\\n\\nOur client is a large, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions on complex projects across the UK. Their extensive portfolio spans local and national infrastructure, covering disciplines including geo-environmental, transportation, structures, renewables, and water services.\\n\\nThe Role\\n\\nIn this position, you will be responsible for producing high-quality designs, drawings, models, and technical documentation for roads and drainage schemes across a diverse range of engaging projects. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, and project managers to successfully deliver projects from concept through to detailed design.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nPrepare conceptual and detailed designs for infrastructure, highway, and energy projects\\nDevelop and maintain accurate 2D and 3D models and drawings\\nProduce drainage and ancillary designs in accordance with relevant standards\\nSupport the development and mentoring of junior engineering staff within the team\\nCollaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and graduates throughout project delivery \\n\\nRequirements\\n\\nHNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)\\n3-6 years of experience working within a design engineering environment\\nStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, and other relevant software\\nExperience producing highway design drawings, including geometric design, drainage, and ancillary elements\\nAbility to deliver accurate and well-presented technical drawings \\n\\nWhat's in it for you?\\n\\nCompetitive salary\\nExcellent employee benefits (flexible working, loyalty bonuses, lifestyle support, etc)\\nMultidisciplinary exposure\\nCareer progressionEqual Opportunities:\\n\\nFirst People Solutions is committed to equal opportunities regardless of gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief and age
