Role Summary:

The Solution Architect is primarily responsible for liaising with clients to capture and translate customer business and technical requirements into a working business system solution utilizing DXC Assure software products.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

1. Engage with Customer SME’s in workshops or other methods of interaction to elicit business requirements and solution objectives.
2. Liaise with client SME’s on engagements from a functional/technical delivery perspective.
3. Translate detailed business requirements into working software solutions using DXC Assure software products and configuration tools.
4. Support project team members and customer SME’s on limitations and opportunities for perfect fit customer solutions based on knowledge of DXC Assure software products.
5. Adhere to and contribute to the enhancement of best practice design and configuration of DXC Assure software products.
6. Create and update complex solution configuration on the DXC Assure software products including configuration of the following:

1. Rating algorithms and referral processing.
2. Underwriting, Claims and business rules.
3. Business Process workflow rules.
4. Stored procedures, database triggers, indexes, and other database artifacts.
5. Reference data creation and maintenance.
6. Product building including the implementation of dynamic logic, validations & workflow rules.
7. Enquiries / Data Extraction / Reports / Documents.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

1. Insurance domain expertise – Lloyds and Company market knowledge preferably with experience of Broker, Carrier, Syndicate and MGA operations.
2. Insurance system knowledge covering underwriting, claims, accounts, and re-insurance.
3. Experienced in the configuration of web-based Policy Administration/Claims Systems.
4. Strong SQL skills including the ability to construct SQL queries, views, triggers and stored procedures.
5. Knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
6. Knowledge in the use of SOAP & REST based APIs.
7. A detailed understanding of the full project life cycle.
8. Demonstrated working knowledge of the following concepts/skills:

1. Process Mapping (current and future state).
2. Data flow diagrams (current and future state).
3. Entity relationship mapping.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

1. Experience/knowledge of configuring DXC Assure Software products.
2. Experience of projects delivering cloud-based managed service solutions.
3. Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON.
4. Prepared to travel when required.
5. Ability to work flexible hours as required – connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones.
