Headley Professional Recruitment is currently recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for our client in Halifax. The client is a construction main contractor who works on fit out and refurbishment projects across various sectors including commercial, education, health, residential, and leisure.

The role will co-ordinate, support, and advise the business on all aspects regarding Health, Safety, and Environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing, managing, enforcing, and monitoring standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment responsibilities.
  • Implementing all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislative requirements and industry standards throughout the business.
  • Recording and investigating all accidents, incidents, and near misses accordingly.
  • Developing Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and ensuring they are embedded within the business.
  • Setting the strategic framework for management of these standards and defining and delivering against objectives for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety
  • CSCS Card
  • 3 years proven Construction Health & Safety experience
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • High organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • IT literate including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Full driving licence
