Headley Professional Recruitment is currently recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for our client in Halifax. The client is a construction main contractor who works on fit out and refurbishment projects across various sectors including commercial, education, health, residential, and leisure.
The role will co-ordinate, support, and advise the business on all aspects regarding Health, Safety, and Environment. Responsibilities include:
- Establishing, managing, enforcing, and monitoring standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment responsibilities.
- Implementing all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislative requirements and industry standards throughout the business.
- Recording and investigating all accidents, incidents, and near misses accordingly.
- Developing Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and ensuring they are embedded within the business.
- Setting the strategic framework for management of these standards and defining and delivering against objectives for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety
- CSCS Card
- 3 years proven Construction Health & Safety experience
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- High organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Excellent planning and project management skills
- IT literate including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Full driving licence
