We are recruiting for a Family Support Worker to join a dedicated team at a Family Assessment Centre in Sawbridgeworth (CM21). This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will provide support to families throughout their assessment process. The position is based on awake night shifts, so you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for families during night time hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Support families with daily routines and parenting tasks during their assessment
- Build positive, respectful relationships with parents, offering guidance and encouragement
- Provide practical and emotional support to parents and children, particularly during night-time hours
- Follow care plans and safeguarding procedures to ensure the wellbeing of children
- Keep accurate, detailed records and contribute to family assessments
- Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, and other support staff
- Offer hands-on care and supervision, especially with babies and toddlers
- Experience supporting families, working with children, or within a childcare/early year setting
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, calm approach
