Opportunity Summary: We have a vacancy for a Setter/Operator CNC Turner.
Role Accountabilities:
- Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Working as a team to maximise machine utilisation.
- Working to structured manufacturing plan.
- Responsible for setting and operating a PUMA 12L Turning Lathe.
- Responsible for quality output.
- Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM).
- Capable of using measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.
Person Specification:
- 5 years experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role.
- Apprentice trained preferred or demonstrated relevant experience.
- Working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment.
- Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation.
- Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook.
- Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
- Attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
- Working to deadlines.
- Managing workload effectively, prioritising where necessary.
