URL are working closely with a civil engineering contractor to procure a Planning Engineer for their highly profitable Infrastructure division. Based from either Watford, Chelmsford or Bury St Edmunds there is also hybrid working on offer. This client holds an enviable reputation for engineering excellence with a number of blue chip clients in sectors including major projects Highways, Power, Water and Rail.
Duties:
- Create, develop, and maintain project programmes using Primavera P6 (MS Project or Asta also considered)
- Monitor project progress, identify delays or risks, and provide mitigation strategies
- Work closely with site and project teams to gather input for planning purposes and ensure programmes are aligned with on-site realities, logistics, and constraints
- Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies and advising project teams on recovery plans where slippage occurs
- Support ECI planning and provide input into tender-stage submissions
- Liaise with commercial, design, and delivery teams to align programmes and ensure feasibility
- Produce programme updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders
