Hygiene Manager - Days

Hygiene Manager | East Riding | Days (Mon–Fri) | Circa £58,000 + Benefits A leading name in food manufacturing is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager to take ownership of hygiene standards across a high-performing, fast-paced site in East Riding. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring site compliance with hygiene regulations, customer standards, and internal policies. Working primarily Monday to Friday (days), the role does require flexibility to cover occasional nights and weekends, in line with operational demands. The Role: • Lead, coach and develop the hygiene team to ensure a safe, compliant and audit-ready environment at all times • Oversee the cleaning schedule, hygiene plans and chemical usage across production areas • Ensure hygiene practices meet or exceed standards required for customer audits and BRC accreditation • Work cross-functionally with Production, Technical, and Engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve hygiene efficiency • Maintain strong documentation and reporting for internal systems and external inspections • Manage departmental budget, stock levels and supplier relationships for hygiene materials About You: • Proven experience in a Hygiene Manager or Senior Hygiene Supervisor role within a food manufacturing environment • Strong working knowledge of BRC, HACCP and food safety standards • Experience managing teams and driving high-performance culture • Flexible and confident working across all shifts as required (including nights/weekends occasionally) • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills • Results-driven with a hands-on approach to site standards What’s On Offer: • Salary circa £58,000 • Monday to Friday working pattern with some flexibility • Autonomy in a key leadership role at a respected food manufacturer • Career development opportunities within a stable, growing business • Strong benefits package If you’re passionate about hygiene excellence and ready to take the lead in a modern food production environment, we’d love to hear from you
