We’re currently recruiting for a number of Support Assistants to join our growing client based in the Bournemouth area. If you are looking for a 30 hour week where you will be working to a 3 on/ 3 off pattern on a permanent basis then this is the role for you. As a Support Assistant you’ll play a crucial role in delivering a caring and professional experience for passengers who may have reduced mobility, disabilities, or are otherwise in need of support (e.g., unaccompanied minors).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting passengers in wheelchairs
  • Helping with boarding, disembarking, and transfers
  • Assisting with lifting and moving passengers (some heavy lifting required)
  • Escorting and supervising unaccompanied children
  • Providing reassurance and excellent customer service
  • Coordinating via email
  • Monitoring flight times and schedules

Working Hours for the Support Assistant role:

For your first week while receiving training you will work the below:

  • Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Your shift pattern following your training will look like the below:

  • 3 days on / 3 days off
  • Early: 3:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Late: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Overtime available

To be successful for the Support Assistant worker you must:

  • Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
  • DBS Check – cost reimbursed after start
  • Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
  • Must have 5 years work history within the UK
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic admin and computer skills (email and spreadsheet use)
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a caring nature
  • Great level of English
