Support Workers/ Carers required for special School** **Full-time work local to the Harrow area. Permanent employment can be offered to the right candidates. SENCare are supporting a special school located near the Harrow area. The special School is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where pupils can achieve their maximum potential. Responsibilities: * Support teachers in delivering exceptional learning experiences to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). * Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom activities and resources tailored to individual learning needs. * Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils, promoting their engagement and participation in lessons. * Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all pupils feel safe, supported, and valued. * Monitor and track pupils\’ progress, documenting outcomes and providing feedback to teachers and parents as appropriate. * Participate in training and ongoing professional development to enhance support strategies for SEND pupils. * Work collaboratively with therapists and medical staff to implement relevant interventions and care plans. * Assist in managing behaviour and implementing strategies to support pupils’ emotional and social development * To provide a stimulating but safe learning environment for students. * Supporting pupils with sensory development activities. Prospective candidates are required to have: * A least 1 years’ experience working in mainstream or SEN/ SEND School(s), or as a Carer/ Support Worker/ Health Care Assistant within the UK. * Previous experience supporting complex needs(autism, physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties and/ or medical conditions). * Appropriate right to work in the UK for full-time work(sponsorship cannot be offered). * An in date DBS or, be willing to apply for a new DBS through SENCare.
