We’re looking for a skilled, proactive Maintenance Mechanic to join our 1st-shift team and keep our production lines and facility operating at peak performance. If you excel in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems—and take pride in preventing downtime—this is the role for you. You’ll perform general maintenance and repairs on production equipment, facility structures, and grounds, all while adhering to EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and repair production machines and facility equipment, ensuring uninterrupted production flow.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service accurately.
- Diagnose equipment problems; replace or repair parts; test repaired machinery; and fine-tune settings to optimize performance.
- Execute regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities (including basic HVAC tasks) to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks—such as fixing leaky pipes, replacing worn wiring, or repairing doors and guards.
- Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and effectively.
- Assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance tasks (e.g., operating snow blowers, lawn mowers) during winter months.
- Comply with all safety regulations—wear required PPE, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
- Implement and document preventive maintenance measures, maintain an accurate inventory of repair equipment and supplies, and complete facility inspections.
- Respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns: notify appropriate personnel, follow emergency protocols, and restore operations as quickly as possible.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested to support continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Who You Are
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least one (1) year of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical inclination and hands-on aptitude—comfortable working on diverse equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders; write legibly for accurate documentation of repairs.
- Basic math skills for measuring tolerances, calculating fitments, and setting gauges.
- Familiarity with PLC diagnostics and electronic controls, enabling you to troubleshoot automated systems.
- Experience operating a variety of powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts) and snow-removal/grounds tools.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and thoroughness—ensuring each repair meets quality and safety standards.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask under changing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to convey maintenance updates and safety concerns clearly.

- Respirator certification (or ability to obtain) and willingness to adhere to respiratory protection protocols.
