Conduct vetting investigations on all applicants, employees, and external vendors to ensure they meet security clearance requirements.
Receive pre-employment, promotion, and contractor vetting requests and record them on prescribed spreadsheets.
Conduct various background checks on all applicants, including criminal record verification, adverse financial records, SAFPS, and REDS inquiries within agreed timeframes.
Evaluate information received and make recommendations to the Vetting Manager.
Facilitate and capture fingerprints of vetting applicants.
Evaluate fingerprint results and make recommendations to the Vetting Manager.
Schedule interviews with candidates, references, and relevant work references.
Interview identified personnel and pre-employment candidates, evaluating the information obtained.
Conduct interviews with all relevant role players (references) within the agreed timeframe.
Detect potential risks through thorough evaluation and analysis of gathered information.
Update vetting spreadsheets as per agreed timeframes.
Write vetting reports on all relevant risks, threats, and concerns identified during investigations.
Present recommendations based on the gathered information indicating possible threats or risks to the company.
Schedule and conduct follow-up interviews as required by the investigation.
Schedule Truth Verification Tests (TVT) with candidates in a timely manner.
Conduct TVTs according to policy, procedure, and legislation.
Compile TVT reports as per prescribed processes and notify the Vetting Manager and HR Officers of the outcomes.
Schedule and execute follow-up tests where necessary.
Assist the Vetting Manager in identifying possible risks or threats and implementing preventive investigation programs.
Support and effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders to build and maintain long-term relationships.
Collect and submit vetting-related documents to and from stakeholders and service providers, ensuring proper filing as per policies.
Present recommendations to management if security clearance is not recommended, withdrawn, or under review.
Maintain updated records on an ongoing basis.
Participate in team meetings to discuss trends, issues, and follow-ups, providing constructive input.
Maintain effective communication channels among stakeholders.
Promote the organization’s values, inspiring confidence and enthusiasm towards the mission.
Provide leadership within the organization, fostering a high-morale, performance-driven culture.
Lead initiatives to embed shared purpose, vision, and values.

Requirements:
- 4 years’ experience in vetting investigations.
- 2 years’ experience with Polygraph/Voice Stress exams (advantageous).
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Qualifications:
- Grade 12.
- 3-year National Higher Diploma or Degree in Human/Social Sciences (advantageous).
- Completed vetting course through recognized institutions (SAPS, SANDF, SSA).
