Since 2014 Dickie Direct has been supplying NZ farmers with more efficient fertiliser solutions. Dickie Direct imports and custom blends fertiliser, supplying their farming client base throughout the North Island. The company currently operates from two warehouses in the Hastings region. The backbone of Dickie Direct is a small, passionate and highly capable team. Farming is not a 9-5 job, and neither is their business. Their team does what is required to ensure clients receive the right advice and the right product when itβs needed.
Our client is looking for a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Storeperson to join their growing team. This role involves the safe and efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of fertiliser, ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations. Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 6am to 5pm (7am to 5pm while in training period) and the role will be based across both Hastings locations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Loader Operation
- Using computer systems to track the stock
- Health & Safety - a clean well-organised store is a much safer store.
- Directing and unloading trucks
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Be a team player β The store team works closely together to ensure tasks are completed in the most efficient, accurate, enjoyable and safest manner.
- Good communication skills β Having the confidence to speak up when things are going well and not so well.
- Forklift experience β Forklift experience would be beneficial.
- Be good with numbers β Numbers are a key part of the role, calculating blends and managing stocks.
- Have a proactive approach β Dickie Direct Store Managers prefer to lead by example and are not micro-managers.
