IT Technician

We have created an exciting new opportunity within our busy IT Department for an IT Technician who has some all-round experience in providing IT support to users. As a key team member, you will support the smooth operation of our IT and communication systems, providing reactive and proactive assistance to minimize service disruptions.

Main Duties:

• Triage support requests and direct actions accordingly
• Provide IT support from user administration to project tasks
• Assist users via phone, electronic communication, or in person
• Escalate issues and liaise with third-party support providers
• Monitor IT equipment stock levels
• Oversee computing power, storage, licenses, and services
• Support projects including system configuration and deployment
• Audit device access, processing starters and leavers efficiently
• Document administrative tasks and procedures

Requirements:

• Good standard of education
• Full driving license
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage a busy workload under pressure

Essential Technical Experience:

• IT degree, qualification, or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure and services
• Active Directory administration
• Understanding of Windows GPOs
• Experience with Exchange 2016/Online
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and desktop applications
• PC builds and software installation
• Mobile device setup with MDM systems
• IT asset management and ticketing systems
• Web and email security systems
• Telephony administration concepts
• Networking knowledge including switches, firewalls, wireless, IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs

This is an office-based role requiring residence within daily commuting distance to Avonmouth. Core hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Work outside these hours and occasional travel may be required.
