Electrical Design Engineer needed for a large facilities management organisation based in London or Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrical Design Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of decarbonisation. The successful candidate would desirably have experience in design and design management, risk assessment, and project delivery as well as a minimum of 3 years' experience in Electrical building services design!

What the role entails:
- Assist with Electrical system designs across all RIBA Stages.
- Design and integrate low-carbon energy solutions, such as power distribution, solar PV, battery storage, LED lighting, and smart controls for the integration of heat pumps, and other energy-efficiency measures typical of sustainable retrofit into new and existing buildings.
- Conduct load assessments, equipment sizing, and compliance checks (BS 7671, IET Wiring Regs, UK Building Regs).
- Support energy modelling and system simulations using Amtech, Dialux, Relux, PVSol, IES, Energy Pro, and other tools.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (CIBSE, PAS 2035, MCS, UK Building Regs) and guidelines.
- Support coordination of BIM and CAD-based design processes.
What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Design Engineer:
- 3+ years' experience in electrical services design.
- Exposure to retrofit, decarbonisation, or low-carbon projects preferred.
- Experience with energy analysis and electrical calculations.
- Previous participation in multidisciplinary project teams.
