Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is recruiting for a new Head of MA Screen Acting. This is a part-time, fixed-term position until August 2026.
As Head of Course, the successful candidate will lead on all aspects of the MA Screen Acting programme, which supports 24 post-graduate students in their training. The role includes:
- leading on curriculum delivery
- module leadership
- assessment
- student mentoring
You’ll engage and co-ordinate visiting practitioners and work closely with other departments and colleagues to successfully see modules and projects through to completion. You will also liaise on industry opportunities to ensure students are successfully launched into the sector, upon completion of their training.
The ideal candidate will have:
- substantial experience of working in the TV and film sector
- higher education teaching experience
- strong organisational skills
Contract: Fixed term (until August 2026), part-time (annualised hours – 1548 working hours per year + holidays).
Salary: £31,547.84 per annum (based on the full-time equivalent of £37,000 per annum).
