A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior UI Developer, with 4+ years’ experience, to join a thriving pensions technology business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a prominent role in supporting new business and change initiatives for our clients.
The Developer will be required to:
- Lead and mentor UI developers, UI testers and other members of the information technology job family including nurturing and encouraging the professional development of junior staff.
- Review work carried out by other UI developers and API developers ensuring standards and common practices are adhered to.
- Create and maintain a UI framework and capability set. (For example React, Node.js and css, lighthouse for testing, etc.)
- Plan your work with project managers – this work will cover multiple projects.
- Develop new and improve existing solutions often working with other developers (UI and API), testers, and external partners.
- Ensure our software solutions are kept in line with requirements as they change through the software development cycle by:
- Ensuring coding is to a high standard, has relevant comments explaining what is happening at key points, and is readable.
- Documenting processes using data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams and entity relationship diagrams
Essential skills and experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a UI Developer
- HTML+CSS
- Javascript (ES6 syntax)
- React (strong knowledge of lifecycle, components, props, hooks)
- Understanding of progressive web applications
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs
- Experience using Git version control
- Agile SDLC
