We are a growing business operating in the construction and facilities management (FM) sector. Known for delivering high-quality, reliable services, we are looking to expand our finance team with the addition of a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant.
We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is a full-time, office-based position ideal for someone with previous experience in the construction or FM industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Process supplier invoices against POs within Prima.
- Reconcile bank statements and supplier statements weekly.
- Ensure that all queries are raised and resolved with suppliers.
- Answer incoming calls and manage internal & external queries with sales reps & customer service departments/client queries.
- Support credit control and debt chasing activities.
- Open new customers ensuring credit checks are completed.
- Ensure credit control records are maintained within Sage.
- Maintain accurate records of creditors ledger in Sage and ensure data accuracy.
- Record credit card transactions in a timely manner.
- Make sure employees' expenses are recorded and paid accurately.
- Other ad hoc finance duties.
- Previous experience in a similar finance/accounts role.
- Industry experience in construction or facilities management preferred.
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Sage/QuickBooks.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
