Senior Practitioner – Referral & Assessment Location: Bromley Rate: £39.04 per hour Contract: Locum, Full-Time (36 hours per week) Start Date: ASAP Bromley are looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Referral & Assessment team. This is a fast-paced frontline role, but you’ll be stepping into a service that’s stable, well-managed and properly resourced. Bromley have a clear structure in place, mileage paid for visits, and a focus on keeping workloads manageable — so you can actually do the job you trained for. What you’ll be doing: Responding to new referrals and completing timely, quality assessments Managing risk and making sound threshold decisions Section 47s, strategy discussions, and emergency protection where needed Liaising with schools, health, police, and internal services Holding CIN until handover or closure, with clear planning from the outset No management responsibilities with this role What they’re looking for: Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration Strong experience in front door/R&A work Confident decision-maker with a calm head under pressure Able to hit the ground running and support less experienced staff What’s on offer: £39.04 per hour Paid mileage from office to visits 2–3 days per week in the office Supportive management and team culture Long-term locum contract Get in touch for full details: Maddie Billingham Mobile: Landline: Email: (url removed) Know someone who’d be perfect?
