WordPress Developer

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites, themes (paid and free), plugins, and security.
• Collaborating with designers, developers, business analysts, and project managers to implement website features and functionality.
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously and managing priorities effectively.
• Keeping websites secure and up to date with the latest patches, including regular backups.
• Analyzing log files to assess and report user (internal and external) journey.
• Adjusting and implementing user security based on their profile and business approval.
• Creating new informational and landing pages as requested by the business, considering best practices for SEO, security, and performance optimization.
• Working on Jira tickets for projects and ServiceDesk tools for support requirements.
• Implementing Proof of Concept (PoC) in the test environment and deploying the same in production after business approval.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical support issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Optimizing website performance and ensuring responsiveness across devices.
• Adhering to project timelines and delivering high-quality work consistently.
• Providing technical guidance and support to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
• Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
• Familiarity with responsive and mobile design principles.
• Familiarity with code release in different environments (Sandbox, Staging, Production, etc.) using SVN/GitHub/Bitbucket trunking and branching.
• Ability to come up with multiple solutions to address challenges, depending on project or support requirements without compromising quality.

Additional Requirements:

• A PC with at least an i5 processor and 8 GB RAM (if needed, we can/will provide a Virtual Desktop).
• A reliable broadband internet access from a reputable ISP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work on tight deadlines.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
