The Role

We are seeking an experienced Spa Therapist to join our team at Babington House (BA11 3RW). As Spa Therapist you will be delivering a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing and manicure/pedicure) in a safe and comfortable manner for our members and guests. You’ll maintain equipment and sample inventory of products as well as acknowledging and responding to relevant member queries, needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personalized spa treatments and therapies to club members.
  • Conducting thorough consultations with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.
  • Performing various spa treatments such as massages, facials, body wraps, and scrubs.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized treatment room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sanitised and stocked.
  • Recommending and promoting spa products to clients for at-home use.
  • Educating clients about the benefits of different spa treatments and therapies.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and maintaining proper sanitation practices.
  • Keeping accurate records of client treatments and maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Assisting with spa reception duties, including greeting and checking in clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments.
  • Continuously enhancing knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent industry related qualifications
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to multitask and excel in a high-volume and demanding fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.

Expected working hours for a Spa Therapist:

Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes. Average hours 40 hours per week.

Travel: Approx. 30 minutes from Bath, 50 minutes from Bristol & 10 mins from Frome (No local transport from Frome).
