We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sheet Metal Worker to join a leading and growing manufacturing company based near Christchurch.
The primary role of the Sheet Metal Worker will involve working with thin gauge aluminium.
Responsibilities- Shrinking, stretching, and rolling of sheet metal
- Fabricating and assembling sheet metal products
- Setting up and operating fabricating machines as well as hand tools to cut, bend, and straighten
- Shaping over anvils, blocks, or forms
- Inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of welded, brazed, or burr surfaces
- Work in accordance with all H&S procedures and processes
- Support in training of employees as required
Preferably experience within the aerospace industry with thin gauge aluminium experience. For candidates without previous or current aerospace experience, but with excellent sheet metal skills and experience working with thin gauge sheet metal in other sectors, with the right attitude and willingness to develop into aerospace, please also apply. There will be opportunities to develop your skills for the right candidate.
Salary£34,500 - £38,500
Hours37 per week, which can be worked across 4 days or 4.5 days
OvertimePaid at Time 1/2
