Job Opportunity: Lecturer in GCSE/Functional Skills Maths 📍 Location: Boundary Road, Farnborough 🕒 Hours: Full-time or Part-time 👤 Reports to: Assistant Principal, Faculty of English and Maths We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to join our English and Maths faculty. Whether you\’re an experienced educator or someone with strong vocational experience looking to transition into teaching, we want to hear from you. As part of our committed teaching team, you\’ll be instrumental in helping students realise their potential, build confidence in numeracy, and achieve meaningful academic progress. What You\’ll Do: Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths Teach in classroom and online settings using innovative and effective methods Assess, track, and support student progress, providing regular feedback Develop creative teaching materials and schemes of work Foster a safe, positive, and inspiring learning environment Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives Promote safeguarding and wellbeing as a top priority Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the college What We\’re Looking For: Essential Qualifications & Experience: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification A Level 3 or above vocational qualification in a related field Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with young learners Teaching experience is desirable, but not essential – training will be providedDesirable: A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) Experience delivering Maths in further education or similar settings Familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital learning toolsPersonal Attributes: A team player with a flexible, proactive mindset A role model who sets high standards of work and behaviour Passionate about education, student success, and continuous improvement Why Join Us?
