We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our conference venues in Leamington Spa, CV32. We are a fresh food led operation that is open 7 days a week. Working straight shifts, 5 days over 7 you will be required to assist our Chefs in the smooth running of this busy Conference & Events centre. We pride ourselves on the high quality of our offer with specialist chefs on all sections of the kitchen.
The job role will include washing up, cleaning, handling deliveries, assisting with food preparation and the general day to day upkeep of the kitchen and outside areas. This is a permanent position working 32-40 hours per week as required, 5 out of 7 days. 1 in 2 Saturdays off during quiet periods, to suit the business needs. Availability during daytime, evenings and weekends is essential. This venue has the perk of a two week Christmas shut down. Uniform will be provided as well as a free meal on shift.
The venue is easily commutable from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, and the surrounding areas, including Solihull, Nuneaton, and Stratford-upon-Avon. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:- Have experience working in a similar role and environment
- Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
- Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
- Have excellent customer service and social skills
- Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
- Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 12
- Be customer focused
- Have basic food knowledge
- Be willing to participate and enjoy working as part of the team
