Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Consultant to join our Digital Workplace team on a fixed term contract. You will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 environments and extensive hands-on experience with tenant migrations. This role requires expertise in PowerShell scripting, administration of various 365 portals, and usage of migration tools such as ShareGate and MigrationWiz. The Technical Consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless migration processes, from planning and execution to final cutover.
What you’ll be delivering
Lead and execute Microsoft Tenant Migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
Conduct detailed pre-migration discovery and assessments to map out dependencies, data volumes, and potential risks.
Provide detailed migration planning and scheduling to align with business needs and minimise downtime.
Monitor and troubleshoot migration tasks, identifying and resolving issues promptly to maintain project timelines.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, offering regular updates and ensuring technical requirements are aligned with business goals.
Utilise PowerShell scripts for data export/import from CSV, and bulk creation of users, groups, and permissions.
Administer and manage 365 Admin Portals including Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, Conditional Access, and Teams.
Leverage Exclaimer or other signature software to manage email signatures across the organisation.
Employ migration tools such as ShareGate (preferred) and MigrationWiz to handle mailbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams migrations.
Manage DNS settings, particularly MX records, to ensure proper mail flow modifications during migrations.
We think you’ll be successful in this role if you have some of the following
~ PowerShell: Ability to export/import data from CSV, bulk creation of users, groups, delegate permissions, and contacts.
~365 Admin Portals: Proficiency in managing and configuring Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, Conditional Access, and Teams.
~ Exclaimer or Other Signature Software: Experience with email signature management tools.
~ Migration Tools: Expertise in using ShareGate (preferred) and/or MigrationWiz for mailbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams migrations.
~ DNS Management: Knowledge of DNS settings, particularly MX records, for mail flow adjustments.
~ Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
~ Experience with large-scale tenant migrations, preferably in enterprise environments.
~ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
~ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
~ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
