The Role
As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in assembling high-voltage and high-current test equipment used by the electrical supply industry worldwide. You will work to daily and weekly targets, ensuring customer orders are met on time and in full. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining accurate stock records and participate in improvement activities within a lean manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble a variety of test equipment according to company standards, using drawings and bills of materials.
- Ensure daily and weekly production targets are met.
- Follow safe systems of work, adhering to COSHH guidelines and risk assessments.
- Conduct cycle counting and stock control to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Participate in improvement activities to enhance efficiency and product quality.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to use a PC and enter data accurately.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to follow instructions, drawings, and bills of materials.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a flexible approach to supporting other production cells.
