The role
As a Community Safe and Well Coach, you will visit customers across safe accommodation to complete safe and well checks. You will prioritize their safety, identify risks, and implement the best solutions to support them. Working hours are 5pm-11pm on a ‘four on, four off’ shift pattern.
Job Responsibilities
- Visit customers to carry out safe and well checks, ensuring safety and addressing issues like ASB.
- Assist customers during move-in to refuge or the community, addressing their priorities and supporting practical needs such as benefit claims.
- Create safety and risk management plans tailored to individual needs.
- Respond to emergencies by answering the out-of-hours phone line.
- Ensure accommodation security and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assess risks and safeguarding issues, responding appropriately according to policies.
- Maintain accurate records within Glow's CRM system.
- Support the Service Manager in achieving void targets by preparing rooms for new residents.
- Encourage community engagement through activities and events to reduce loneliness and isolation.
Candidate Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Experience in risk assessment and supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Understanding of domestic abuse issues, with strong communication skills to support victims.
- Knowledge of current laws, issues, and best practices related to domestic abuse and safeguarding.
- Basic ICT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing high-risk cases.
- Full UK driving license and suitable vehicle.
- DBS check.
