We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Laser Operator to join our team. As our Laser Operator, you will be primarily responsible for the safe operation of our Trumpf Laser. Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, the successful candidate will also be responsible for operating a range of machinery, including press brakes, CNC laser/plasma machines, and hand tools, per company procedures and training. You will work from technical drawings and sketches, maintain a clean and hazard-free work area, and collaborate professionally with team members. Punctuality, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards are essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Working Hours: Mon - Thursday 7 am - 4.30 pm, Fri 7 am - 12 pm
Responsibilities:- Operate CNC Laser/Plasma machine in a safe manner (only operate if relevant training provided)
- Operate press brake in a safe manner (only operate if relevant training provided)
- Operate any other machinery as per training
- Operate various hand tools as per training
- Work to drawings and sketches provided by the Laser Coordinator/Directors
- Always follow set Company procedures – when in doubt, seek advice from the factory manager or a director.
- Meet agreed goals and objectives on time
- Arrive to work and other work-related functions on time as scheduled
- Interact with other team members and other departments in a professional manner
- Keep the fabrication/laser bays clean and tidy and free of any hazards
- Report any system failures to your line manager immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Previous CNC laser cutting experience is necessary.
