An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Quality Manager to join a heavy manufacturing business, based at a key site in the Northwest. This role focuses on managing inspection teams and ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivering excellence across a wide range of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage QA and QC inspection personnel in alignment with Group quality standards
  • Investigate non-conformances and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Compile and manage quality documentation in accordance with client specifications and codes
  • Conduct external audits on subcontractors and write inspection testing procedures for projects
  • Liaise with client representatives and perform on-site quality inspections as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Quality Manager
  • Experience within Manufacturing with knowledge of Welding processes
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 3834 & EN 1090 desirable
  • Strong leadership skills

Location: Wigan

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £55k - £62k (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday (early finish Fri)

Benefits: 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, Pension, cycle to work, assistance scheme, rewards and more.
