Part-Time Music Teacher – All-Through School (Essex) Location: Near Stansted Airport Contract: Part-Time | Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dynamic Part-Time Music Teacher to join our thriving all-through school located in Essex, just minutes from Stansted Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an ambitious and inclusive Music Department where creativity and high standards are at the core.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Music lessons to students in Key Stage 3
  • Co-teach Key Stage 4 classes, supporting the delivery of GCSE Music
  • Ideally contribute to Post-16 teaching (desirable but not essential)
  • Lead and support extra-curricular clubs and ensembles
  • Report to the Director of Music

Person Specification

  • Hold a QTS
  • Have a 2:2 or above degree in Music
  • Be confident teaching students aged 11–16
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of the Music curriculum and current educational developments
  • Demonstrate excellent pedagogical knowledge, including effective strategies for SEND students
  • Be skilled in using ICT as a vehicle for effective teaching and learning
  • Be a competent pianist (minimum Grade 8 standard)
  • Be able to drive, with access to a vehicle (essential due to the school's location)
