A respected South West-based consultancy is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Exeter. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer with a grounding in drainage design to get involved in a variety of projects including residential, commercial, education, health etc.
The Role
Working closely with experienced engineers, you’ll assist in the delivery of infrastructure and drainage design for a range of projects. You’ll be involved in technical design work from concept through to construction, with full support to continue developing your skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing designs using AutoCAD and design software such as Infodrainage or Flow
- Assisting in the preparation of calculations and technical submissions
- Working on drainage strategies and Section 104, 106, 38 and 278 agreements.
- Supporting with site visits and internal project meetings
- Ensuring timely, accurate delivery of work under senior guidance.
What You’ll Need
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in drainage or infrastructure design (post-grad or placement)
- Awareness of the residential sector desirable
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Experience with Infodrainage, Flow or similar drainage software
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn
