A newly created opportunity has arisen to join a leading international transport business with over 27,000 employees globally. We’re seeking a Senior Reward Specialist to act as the subject matter expert across all things Reward — shaping a consistent, modern, and commercially aligned approach to remuneration and benefits across the Group.
Reporting to the Head of People, this role will operate as a trusted advisor to the wider People & Culture team, the Group office, and senior business leaders across multiple operating companies. This is a pivotal appointment, where you will lead the development and implementation of a Reward strategy that supports the attraction, motivation and retention of talent, while driving consistency, fairness and cost control across the organisation’s UK and international workforce.
You will take ownership of the Group’s Reward architecture, introducing structure and rigour to areas such as job evaluation, job family mapping, salary benchmarking and benefit design. In addition, you’ll partner with Finance to co-lead the annual pay and bonus cycle, providing expert insight and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
As the custodian of organisational design, you will also support on role sizing, reorganisation and pay alignment initiatives to ensure transparency and standardisation. The role will involve reviewing and enhancing existing benefits offerings, managing vendor relationships, and owning the Group's Mobility Policy, including oversight of senior international secondments.
You will promote Reward and wellbeing initiatives across the business and play a key role in preparing for future HR systems transformation by helping to standardise data across the Group. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across all areas of compensation and benefits, with experience spanning executive remuneration through to high-volume roles.
You will be commercially astute, analytically strong and comfortable navigating a complex, matrix environment. Prior experience of working in a unionised setting would be advantageous. As this is a standalone role, success will rely on your ability to operate independently, as a true Reward subject matter expert.
You will take initiative and work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and be both strategic and hands-on, capable of designing compelling Reward solutions and building the business case for change while remaining adaptable to shifting priorities.
This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact at Group level, shaping the future of Reward in a large and purpose-driven organisation at a time of transformation and growth.
