Job Mission
This role ensures the safe coordination of radiography operations across HPC construction. You’ll support compliance with CDM, IRR2017 and nuclear licence conditions. Your future team champions innovation, safety and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate radiography activities between contractors and radiography service providers
- Monitor safety and compliance on-site, contributing to barrier plans and best practices
- Manage storage and digitalisation of radiographic records for lifetime traceability
- Support innovation through non-radiological NDT methods in line with ALARP
- Liaise with Subject Matter Experts and RPA for technique approval and justification
- Analyse radiographic KPIs and report performance issues and risks
- Provide guidance to the project team on safety and radiography regulations
- Work outside regular hours to participate in the permit system and site activities
Essential Skills
- PCN or equivalent ISO 9712 / ASME Level 2 radiographer certification (current or lapsed)
- Previously appointed Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS)
- Experience on large construction/refit sites involving open site radiography
- Excellent knowledge of IRR2017 and CDM 2015 regulations
- Familiar with radiography barrier plans and site-based coordination practices
- Knowledge of radiographic and non-radiographic NDT technologies
- Strong understanding of nuclear site licence requirements
- Proven ability to lead and drive safety in critical environments
Desired Skills
- Experience on nuclear infrastructure projects
- Additional NDT certifications (e.g. Ultrasonics, Surface Inspection)
- Skilled in performance analysis and KPI reporting
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication ability
- Familiarity with digitalisation of radiographic records
