The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will be responsible for a range of maintenance tasks across building systems including electrical, mechanical, and basic fabric work. This is a hands-on role requiring technical competence, flexibility, and a proactive approach to solving problems and maintaining high standards of safety and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, fabric)
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs across electrical and mechanical systems
- Conduct general building repairs and assist with small installations and project works
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Accurately complete job reports, risk assessments, and relevant documentation
- Liaise with the site team and contractors to ensure seamless service delivery
- Participate in an on-call rota (if required)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance or building services role
- Relevant technical qualification(s) in either Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of general building fabric and systems (lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence (if mobile role)
Desirable:
- 18th Edition (if electrically qualified)
- HVAC or F-Gas Certification (if applicable)
- Basic carpentry, painting, or fabric repair skills
- Experience in a critical or commercial environment
