We’re seeking an experienced Plumbing Supervisor / Lead Plumber to oversee the teams on our new build housing developments across the North West. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.
The role:
- Lead a team of plumbers and subcontractors to ensure timely, quality delivery across multiple sites
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Organise and oversee the site team's activities, including labour allocation, attendance monitoring, and productivity tracking
- Monitor materials usage and stock levels
- Liaise with the main contractor, other trades, and subcontractors, maintaining strong working relationships
- Act as the primary contact between the site and the Project Manager/subcontractors during site meetings
- Monitor on-site welfare, ensuring cleanliness, health & safety, and PPE compliance
- Maintain attendance reports, issuing and controlling safety permits
- Coordinate with the HSE Adviser to manage site inductions and toolbox talks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily diaries and weekly progress reports
- Raise RFIs where necessary
- Carry out inspections and snagging to maintain high standards
- Uphold high standards for installation, quality control, and safety compliance
- Monitor and manage onsite plant, equipment, and materials, including effective stock control
About you:
- You’ll have experience supervising plumbing teams on new build housing development, or be a Lead Plumber ready for the next step - full training can be provided.
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Ideally have your Gas
- CSCS card
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Ability to manage time and personnel efficiently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ideally have good working knowledge of using Excel and other Microsoft programmes
