The Role
As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance, installation, and fault-finding of a wide range of refrigeration systems at client sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safety and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment
- Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Complete job documentation and reports accurately
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Liaise with clients and deliver a high standard of customer service
- Participate in an on-call rota (if required)
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration
- Strong understanding of systems including chillers, cold rooms, freezers, and COâ‚‚ systems (preferred)
- F-Gas Certification (Category 1 - essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
