White Label is working with an established engineering and manufacturing business in Wakefield that require a Hydraulic Design Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering high-quality technical solutions across a wide portfolio of machinery. My client is offering a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 plus:
- 33 days holiday plus your birthday off
- 37-hour work week (Monday to Thursday 8AM to 4:30PM and 8AM to 1PM on Friday)

Responsibilities of the Hydraulic Design Engineer:
- Design and implement hydraulic systems for bespoke machinery
- Create P&IDs, circuit diagrams, manufacturing, and control drawings
- Carry out hydraulic modelling and system analysis to meet client requirements
- Liaise with sales and customers to define technical specifications
- Conduct risk assessments, FMEA/FMECA and produce technical files
- Generate BOMs and import data into ERP systems
- Support planning and production teams with queries and improvements
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal component selection
- Promote continuous improvement and mentor junior designers when required
Experience required of the Hydraulic Design Engineer:
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient in AutoCAD / Inventor and ideally ERP systems
- Strong experience in hydraulic system design and manufacturing drawings
- Experience in bespoke machinery would be desirable
