Clearance: Must be eligible to work in the UK

We’re working with a world-leading consultancy that’s delivering cutting-edge data and cloud architecture across some of the UK’s most recognisable enterprises. As their Data & Intelligence practice continues to expand, we’re looking for experienced Senior Data Architects as well as proven Lead Data Architects to join the team. Whether your strength lies in hands-on solution architecture or enterprise-wide strategy, there’s a place for you to lead, shape and scale modern data capabilities across sectors like public services, finance, telco, manufacturing, and retail.

About the Role

You’ll be embedded into high-impact client projects, defining, designing, and delivering modern data platforms, from initial strategy and modelling through to governance, integration, and delivery. Roles are tailored to experience, Senior Architects will lead solution and delivery workstreams, while Lead Architects will guide the overarching vision and architectural direction across entire programmes and client estates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Senior Data Architects:
  • Lead the design and delivery of cloud-native data solutions using modern platforms (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Confluent)
  • Architect data lakes, lakehouses, streaming pipelines, and event-driven architectures
  • Oversee engineering teams and collaborate with analysts and QA functions
  • Translate complex requirements into scalable, robust data products and platforms
  • Support governance, data security, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Lead Data Architects:
    • Define enterprise-level data strategies across business and technology domains
    • Develop conceptual/logical data models, operating models, and architecture frameworks
    • Act as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders across multiple industries
    • Shape pre-sales propositions and support go-to-market strategies in data architecture
    • Lead hybrid teams (on/near/far shore) and manage cross-functional delivery

    Core Experience:

    • Proven track record in data architecture, either from a delivery or enterprise strategy perspective
    • Deep experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data ecosystems (Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake)
    • Strong understanding of Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and data product-led approaches
    • Data modelling expertise (relational, dimensional) and familiarity with tools like Erwin, Sparx, Archi
    • Experience with ETL/ELT, SQL/NoSQL, Python or Java, and visualisation/BI tools
    • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks
    • Comfortable operating in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Experience in consulting-led engagements, including stakeholder management and business case development
    • Sector exposure in telecoms, finance, insurance, public sector, or similar
    • Ability to “join the dots” between business needs, tech architecture, and data-driven innovation
    • A collaborative, delivery-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Whether you’re an experienced Senior Data Architect ready to step into a broader leadership role, or a Lead Data Architect looking for a new challenge across enterprise-scale programmes, this is an opportunity to shape the data foundations of some of the UK’s most forward-thinking organisations.
