We are seeking experienced Health, Safety and Fire Risk Assessors to provide services to clients across London and the South East on a contract basis. This role will involve conducting comprehensive health, safety and fire risk assessments for a variety of property types, including HMOs, purpose-built blocks of flats, converted properties and commercial premises such as offices, retail and mixed-use spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential health, safety and fire hazards in the workplace, ensuring all risks are documented and assessed according to current regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, fire codes and standards; recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, safety audits, and fire audits to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures are in place and functioning properly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on risk assessments, incidents and inspections; investigate accidents or near misses and recommend preventive measures.
  • Ability to work independently and with various clients.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years proven experience in delivering fire risk assessments and more general health and safety assessments.
  • Good working knowledge of Approved Document B.
  • Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent as minimum.
  • Relevant fire qualifications.
  • Tier 2 or 3 of the IFSM Register or equivalent.

You will need to be available to work a minimum of 3 days a week, on-going. The role has been assessed as outside IR35.
