We require a Data Collector to join our team supporting the process application of paint onto vehicles by a major paint supplier in Crewe. The position will suit an ambitious, well-educated individual who is looking for a stable career in an exciting, new environment.
The role specifically involves:
- Collect BYK-mac colour measurements from the AUTO line. All bodies.
- Collect BYK-mac colour measurements from the SPP line. All kits.
- Collect finish measurements using wavescan machine. 1 body per model per shift.
- Collect gloss measurements using gloss meter. 1 body per model per shift.
- Download colour measurements and record readings into a spreadsheet.
- Basic understanding of colour, identify potential harmony issues.
- Collect film build measurements using PELT gauge. 1 body per model per shift.
- Maintain shift logs throughout the shift.
- Cover select Data Analyst duties during gaps in shifts / holidays.
- Carry out ad-hoc requests from the supervisor / technical team.
- When possible, support the paint mix team, keep up to date with spec required.

This position will be based on 3 shifts and additional hours will be required as necessary. Shift times - 3-week rotation, 1 week of mornings, 1 week of afternoons and 1 week of nights.
