On behalf of our client, we are searching for an experienced Director of Building Services & Engineering to champion their vision of creating safe, secure, and inspiring environments for their residents and teams.
The Role
- Shape and Deliver the FM Strategy: Develop and refine a comprehensive Facilities Management strategy that harmonises Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance, Lifecycle Management, and Capital Expenditure.
- Champion Safety and Service Excellence: Ensure the estate remains a secure and vibrant environment, overseeing our Plant & Machinery and essential engineering services.
- Lead a Strong Team: Manage and mentor senior managers, including the Head of Building Services, Head of Resident Maintenance & Procurement, Commissioning & Building Services Manager, and Health & Safety Manager.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Present annual FM business plans, track key metrics, and deliver regular performance reports to ensure all services meet and exceed market-leading standards.
The Candidate
- Extensive Experience: At least 10 years managing multi-site Estates functions. Proven excellence in Health & Safety management and stakeholder engagement.
- Commercial and Financial Acumen: A track record of driving financial performance and optimising procurement strategies while maintaining superior service delivery.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and manage senior teams overseeing reactive and preventative maintenance functions.
- Flexibility & Resilience: Willingness to work periodic weekends and anti-social hours as required.
- Qualifications: Chartered Property or Facilities qualification and Project Management certifications.
